Privacy Policy

Who we are
QuickStudy ("we," "us") provides a study and test-prep app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account info (if you sign in): your email and name, via our authentication provider.
- Study data: your progress, answers, streaks, exam results, and preferences, to power the app and sync across your devices.
- Usage analytics: events like page visits, session length, and feature use. These are device-level when you are signed out, and linked to your account when you are signed in, so we can measure engagement and improve the product. This is not sold.
- Content you submit: syllabi/notes you upload, and error reports you file.
- If you join a class: your name or display label and your study activity (time on the app and per-subject activity) are shared with that class's instructor, so they can support the class. You can leave a class to stop this.
- We do not want and ask you not to submit real patient-identifiable health information.
How we use it
To provide, personalize, secure, and improve the Service; to sync your progress; to communicate about the Service (including reminders you enable); and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share limited data with vendors who run the Service on our behalf, authentication, hosting, database, analytics, email/notification delivery, payment processing, and AI features (which process the text of your questions/uploads to generate responses). They are bound to protect it and use it only to provide their service.
Cookies & local storage
We use essential cookies/local storage for sign-in and to store your study progress on your device. Analytics uses an anonymous device identifier, not your name.
Data retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal/operational purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices & rights
You can review or update your info in the app, disable notifications in Settings, and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Depending on where you live (e.g., California/EU), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing; contact us to exercise them.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
